Fishing Catfish at Kp Bukit Puan

Together with friends we are fishing for catfish in the village of Bukit Puan Labi. We set off from Bandar Seri Begawan at 5.30 am, stop at Kg Telisai  for drink in, to Kg Bukit Puan about 6 am.

We used a small boat with a powerful engine 5 horses, after fishing at some point. We find there is a engine problem and its end we had to pull back the boat people who cross the village.

This is our catch.

Brunei Holidays : More Beaches in Brunei Darussalam

 brunei beach

Brunei Holidays, Stretching the full length of Brunei’s travel coastline is a pristine, sun-drenched ribbon of sand caressed by the South China Sea. Take your pick from one of tourist attractions in Brunei’s many undiscovered beaches:

Muara Beach

Meragang Beach
Near the Jalan Meragang junction off the highway to Muara lies Meragang Beach — sometimes called Crocodile Beach. Despite the name, you’ll encounter no such creature along this peaceful, unspoilt stretch of sand — only a warm sea breeze, a brilliant sunset or a double rainbow.

Sports Fishing in Brunei

   Sports Fishing in Brunei

Holidays in Brunei Darussalam, Brunei Bay the fishing spot, and the reefs offshore of Brunei's coast have been a well kept sports fishing secret. However, the area is well known to local enthusiasts for its sailfish and billfish and the large range of reef fish.

Brunei's policy of protecting it's reefs and inshore areas from commercial over-fishing has produced an exciting opportunity for amateur fishing.
The warm waters and generally calm seas allow open  craft to venture offshore in pursuit of challenging catches.

Sports Fishing in Brunei

For those new to the sport, or on those rare days when the seas are too rough for offshore fishing, Brunei Bay and its islands provide  sheltered conditions and a relaxed fishing trip.
This are is especially suited to family groups.
The best fishing conditions occur from April to October.

 Sports Fishing in Brunei
The best period for diving in Brunei Darussalam travel,
is from March to November, in the dry season.
The lighter south-west monsoon means calmer seas.
The dry season also means less run off from coastal streams.
Therefore visibility is best at that time of the year;
commonly between 20 to 30 metres.
However, European divers normally find our wet season visibility is far better
that they experience at home.

Part of the recent $8 reclaimation and rehabilitation of Brunei Serasa Beach...

the govt should do more of these, especially near our coastal areas where the sea water seemed to get closer to homes and areas previously do not have much sea water...

Try the restaurant which serve some seafood... its not the Yacht Club, but the food is not bad... this chili crab cost $8 per 500 gramme... beware though, one must bring mosquito repellent if you want to eat there at night, the restaurant does not provide any insect repellent...
