How to Visit a Mosque in Brunei

brunei mosque

Correct attire is essential before entering one of many Brunei Darussalam's magnificent mosques.
To avoid causing offence, the following information guidelines in Brunei Darussalam should be observed:
  • Leave footwear in the assigned place outside the mosque before entering.
  • Both men and women are not allowed to enter with bare legs or shoulders (some mosques may be able to  lend a robe).
  • Women should cover their head.
  • Do not walk in front of a praying person.
  • Non-Muslims are not allowed to touch the Quran.
  • Women should respect the taboo that requires women to stay away from mosques when they are having  their period.
