Sports Fishing in Brunei

   Sports Fishing in Brunei

Holidays in Brunei Darussalam, Brunei Bay the fishing spot, and the reefs offshore of Brunei's coast have been a well kept sports fishing secret. However, the area is well known to local enthusiasts for its sailfish and billfish and the large range of reef fish.

Brunei's policy of protecting it's reefs and inshore areas from commercial over-fishing has produced an exciting opportunity for amateur fishing.
The warm waters and generally calm seas allow open  craft to venture offshore in pursuit of challenging catches.

Sports Fishing in Brunei

For those new to the sport, or on those rare days when the seas are too rough for offshore fishing, Brunei Bay and its islands provide  sheltered conditions and a relaxed fishing trip.
This are is especially suited to family groups.
The best fishing conditions occur from April to October.

 Sports Fishing in Brunei
The best period for diving in Brunei Darussalam travel,
is from March to November, in the dry season.
The lighter south-west monsoon means calmer seas.
The dry season also means less run off from coastal streams.
Therefore visibility is best at that time of the year;
commonly between 20 to 30 metres.
However, European divers normally find our wet season visibility is far better
that they experience at home.

Tutong District in Brunei

brunei tutong beach
Tutong is a district (daerah in the Malay language) in Brunei Darussalam and its capital is Pekan Tutong or Tutong Town (in English). Pekan Tutong is one of the towns in Brunei and the capital of Tutong District. The area of this town is 4 square kilometres. Sparsely populated. Ethnically diverse. A different side of Brunei.
While only a half-hour drive from the urban centre of Bandar Seri Begawan, Tutong offers a glimpse of the diverse cultures and unique lifestyles of rural Brunei, making it one of the nation’s most distinctive districts.
tourist attractions in Tutong Brunei is abundant in natural beauty, from the white sands and rocky outcroppings of Pantai Seri Kenangan beach all the way inland to the scenic and somewhat mysterious feel of Tasek Merimbun, a serpentine lake surrounded by swamps and 15th century burial grounds.
But the true draw of Tutong is its people.
Local colour abounds at the Ruma Budaya cultural village, showcasing the five ethnic Bornean groups that make up the district’s diverse population.

Brunei Muara is One Of Brunei Town

Brunei Muara is one of The Brunei  Darussalam District. Brunei Muara is also one of The Brunei Town. Contemporary luxuries abound. Rustic surprises await.
Though small in size, Brunei Muara is of great importance to the nation as the district housing Brunei’s capital, Bandar Seri Begawan.
As such, it is usually the first stop of any visitor to Brunei — and one of the most memorable.
Outside the capital lie some of the nation’s most world-renowned attractions.
The golden spires adorning Istana Nurul Iman, home of the nation’s revered monarch, His Majesty The Sultan, form a striking backdrop for a spectacular Bruneian sunset.
The lavish residence has achieved legendary status as the largest palace in the world and features a unique blend of contemporary and traditional Islamic architecture.
But there is nothing traditional — or expected — about Brunei Muara’s other famous tourist attractions in Brunei, Jerudong Park Playground Brunei, the state-of-the-art amusement park that was once the playground of royalty.

Kampong Pudak in Kota Batu Brunei

Kampong Pudak in Kota Batu Brunei
Just Share, We first came to Kampong Pudak Kota Batu town in Brunei Darussalam, for a walk three years ago. Its a lovely little village across from Kota Batu. The walk though challenging on the up, is not very long and the view from the top rewarding.

What I enjoy most about comingand visiting  to the Brunei village is watching the villagers. Not much changes around here and I even wonder if the lady I captured walking to the mosque for the evening prayers is the same one I saw three years ago.

Exciting things are happening at Brunei Darussalam’s McDonald’s as the famous American fastfood franchise will once again open its doors for business after completing a three week renovation. The outlet which lies at the bustling commercial area of Gadong has transformed into a trendy place for hanging out, Borneo Bulletin reported.
Borneo Bulletin was given a tour of the premises yesterday after the complete overhaul of the design and layout that cost nearly B$2 million.
Dk Kemariah binti Pg Hj Duraman, the General Manager of Makan Ceria Sdn Bhd, in an interview said, “We had been .closed for three weeks for “Funky and Very Young” theme renovation and now we are ready to serve our customers again.”
The design, she added, “is one of many themes for McDonald’s in the Asia Pacific region. And to compliment the design, we also brought music from McDonald’s FM”.
The new equipment and machines which cost around B$800,000 and imported from the US will provide a systematic preparation of the delicious McDonald’s burgers, fries and other menu items.
To further enhance the new look, the staff are given a new colourful uniform. In addition, the staff are provided with a TV and a prayer room for Muslims for their comfort.
There are also a children’s playground room and a spacious private room for function on the first floor.
Dk Kemeriah revealed that McDonald’s will put up special menu like Big N Tasty and Quarter Pounder from November 15 until 20. The annual Prosperity Burger will make a comeback on December 15. Furthermore, they may offer morning breakfast starting from January next year.
She also disclosed that Ronald McDonald’s may make a special appearance in December during the 20th Anniversary of McDonald’s establishment in Brunei.
One of the burning questions that the public want to know is will there be more branches of McDonald’s coming up, Dk Kemariah said “Yes”.
